چکیده

In Brazil, Froelichia tomentosa (Mart.) Moq. has records of occurrence in Rio Grande do Sul (RS) and Bahia, however, the former there are indications that its populations extinct. RS, restricted to region sandy- fields. this region, biodiversity been threatened by advances agriculture forestry intensified sandy patch process. Therefore, work aimed describe morphoanatomy ultrastructure leaf blade tomentosa, seeking correlate characteristics environmental conditions. Individuals from different sand- fields (Pampa biome) were sampled. Leaf analyzes performed scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (MET) optical (MO). The following anatomical features verified: epidermis with trichomes stomata adaxial abaxial surface, compact mesophyll, aquiferous hypodermis, Kranz anatomy, numerous plastoglobules peroxisomes. presence these characters may be related adaptation species environment. addition, we highlight necessity create conservation units sand-fields order preserve as well present study.

Effects of Lead on Ultrastructure of Isoetes sinensis Palmer (Isoetaceae), a Critically Endangered Species in China

Isoetes sinensis Palmer (Isoetaceae) is a critically endangered fern that is a marsh plant (that is an aquatic or amphibious plant) in China. To evaluate damage or influence of lead (Pb) on cell ultrastructure in I. sinensis, we used 2000mg·L-1 Pb(NO3)2 solution to treat I. sinensis for 35d, and used transmission electron microscope (TEM) to observe the cell ultrastructure of leaf blades and ro...

Morphology, Anatomy and Ultrastructure of Reaction Wood

Whatever the species considered, trees reorient their axis by a very active mechanical action driven by variations of cambial activity. These variations of cambial activity will lead to variations in anatomy and ultrastructure of the xylem to achieve this biomechanical function, forming a type of wood called reaction wood, i.e. tension wood in angiosperms and compression wood in gymnosperms. Th...
